One of TIME Magazine’s Best Inventions of 2022, Cowboy’s award-winning e-bikes seamlessly combine hardware and software. With over 50,000 bikes sold since 2017, our monthly trips have increased to an average of 820k per month in the last 6 months, saving an estimated total of 8.2m kg of CO2 since 2017. We have led innovation in the sector with cutting-edge features like crash detection, theft notifications and ride data, and in December 2022 Cowboy became the first e-bike retailer to become a certified B Corp. Our design approach of beauty and simplicity means no buttons, gears or settings and our AdaptivePower technology enables the bike to think for itself in real time adjusting the power depending on hill, wind or weight. By creating a connected ecosystem, Cowboy bikes can be updated remotely even after they have left the factory. 2022 was our best year ever, doubling our deliveries to over 19,000 bikes. Design has begun on new models that can unlock a broader customer base and investment is being made in expanding our sales and service footprint as we aim to drive innovation further through new software launches before autumn. We have just completed the first €10m of our current financing round with the goal to support our growth towards profitability and as we did in 2020 and 2022, we are now extending this investment opportunity to our community through Crowdcube.

Adrien Roose, Founder & CEO Serial entrepreneur Adrien launched his first company in 2012 in the food delivery sector. This is where he became aware of the problems of urban mobility and led him to launch Cowboy in 2017. Tanguy Goretti, Founder & CTO Tanguy built his first site at age 15 and co-founded Djump while still a student in UCLouvain. Karim Slaoui, Founder & VP Hardware Technology Karim was Roose’s co-founder and COO of their previous food-delivery business. Mark Vincent, CFO Before joining Cowboy, Mark built his career in senior Finance leadership roles at Revolut and NatWest Group. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales. Richard Ascott, CMO Rich has spent his career building and scaling aspirational consumer brands. Prior to joining Cowboy, he was Chief Brand Officer at Vashi. Before joining Vashi, Rich was CEO of Just So which he evolved into an award-winning creative studio. Charles Van Haverbeke, COO Before joining Cowboy, Charles launched UberEats in Belgium, after which he managed country operations for UberEats Belgium, one of the first countries to be cash flow positive. Olivier Barleben, CSCO Oliver's most recent role was Head of Procurement for Philips’ Hospital business. Before that, he reported to the COO of Philips.
